At Suburban Eye Care we have specially trained doctors to help you preserve, improve, and protect your vision.
Dr. John P. Jacobi attended Michigan’s College of Optometry, Ferris State University, receiving his doctorate in 1988. Following graduation, he was accepted as an associate and then as a partner at Suburban Eye Care. He served as President of the Optometric Institute and Clinic of Detroit, a non-profit mission to offer healthcare to our inner city for 8 years. Dr. Jacobi has also successfully treated many children and adults with vision-related learning problems for the last 20 years. He understands the delays in the development of skill and teaches how to maintain a child’s attention through eye coordination, visualization, and eye movements. His goal is to ensure the development of the whole child and is a “Mom Approved” doctor.
Dr. Brett R. Arnold was part of the honors program at Ferris State University, studying vision science. He later received his doctorate from the Michigan College of Optometry, where he completed clinical rotations at the Grand Rapids Veteran Hospital, Eyecare Associates of Lee’s Summit Missouri, and Duane Waters Hospital in Jackson, MI. He specializes in primary care optometry with a focus on contact lens fitting, including multifocal and astigmatism correcting lenses, pediatric eye care, and dry eye management. Outside of the office, Dr. Arnold enjoys staying active outdoors and catching shows at the local comedy clubs.
